Supporting people to take responsibility for their own health
Do you need our help? Would you like to join us?
There is a community aspect to health - in ‘traditional’ societies, people worked together to maintain good health and treat illness and disease. We can grow together and share knowledge. It used to be said that it takes a village to raise a child, and the same goes for physical and mental health - it takes communities and cooperation! Through health education, we can learn how to maintain and improve our own health and also learn how to help each other.
At Bridport Health and Wellbeing, we believe keeping healthy involves connection and is intrinsically holistic, involving the physical, spiritual, social and mental aspects of our bodies, working together as a seamless whole.
We need to move our bodies, get plenty of sunlight, reconnect with nature and re-learn good eating habits … even maybe grow some of our own food.
Holding in our mind’s eye a vision of the world we want and need, we can all build that healthy new world together, based on health principles that truly work and help to heal our whole body, mind and spirit.
We would also love your support by maybe volunteering your skills, time or knowledge. Please contact us
